Armstrong history

[edit]

For almost a thousand years the Armstrong family has claimed Siward as our progenitor. We were told that he rescued the Scottish king and was given the title "Siward Bjorn of the Strongarm". What is of a strange coincidence is that the king at that period of time was Malcolm the lll, who was married to Margaret of Wessex and Siward Barns grandfather, earl Siward the fair Bjorn's son married Godiva of Wessex prior to her death. Both individuals belong to the house of Wessex which was founded by Cerdic Vreichvras (Strongarm). Lowell C Armstrong (talk) 20:48, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
