StatCan

[edit]

This article cites StatCan 2001 census as a source. But, according to that 2001 census only 61,315 people self-identified as "Sri Lankan". It rose to 103,625 in 2006. That is still no where close to 300,000. The article's explanation that Sri Lankans may identify as other groups, and "the census shows Tamil Candians to be listed at 300,000." is false. According to the 2006 census only 34,590 identified themselves at Tamil. --Rob (talk) 06:16, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
