A brand new article started on 11 January 2007 . I am a rural mechanization specialist living in Nepal for the last 10 years and am disappointed about the lack of information on rural mechanization and in particular the tractor industries not only in south Asia but in China and east Asia as well. I intend to start new articles China et. al. and on two-wheel tractors in Asia. As for India, it is currently the largest manufacturer in the world of four-wheel tractors in terms of numbers of tractors. With trade battles between India and China heating up it is not sure if India can hold on to this title This alone warrants this article SEJustice 04:21, 11 January 2007 (UTC)Scott E. Thanks Rumple. I am asking others like the Tractor Manufacturers Association of India to also get involved. There are probably a couple big errors right now (the history of Ford in India from internet sources is very nebulous) but hope to get it ironed out soon 202.161.131.76 07:07, 14 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I think there is no any Tractor Manufacrer Association in India. If You know please up date .

There is a Tractor Manufactures Association. I was at their last meeting in New Delhi in February 2007. They have been around for many years but are fairly inactive and have no webpage at the moment. I am asking them for their help in editing this page, especially a section on who they are and what they do exactly. SEJustice 11:24, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Scoty6776, Very good additions with the small HP tractors, thanks! This is very important and would like to discuss large vs. small tractors in the intro/background of this article once I or someone else get around to writing it. Also, I saw a small Indian 9 HP 4-wheel tractor in Nepal some months back, whose sales agent said it was made in Lucknow, but I can not find any reference to it on the internet. Can remmeber the name of if off hand but would appreciate any help in finding info on it. SEJustice 11:32, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
