I have made some changes to the article, but it still needs significant work. I am not sure how much background information I should keep in this article, since the Whitman Massacre article has plenty of information. Willy Logan 05:56, 6 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

This is the 200th anniversary of the American Board for Commissioners for Foreign Missions which included Presbyterians and Congregationalists. The American Board was the actual sponsor of the Whitmans and their colleagues...half the group were Presbterian half were Congregationalists....the American Board continues as a part of the United Church of Christ which is honoring the anniversary by sending delegations to visit it's various sites around the globe. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.147.114.11 (talk) 17:32, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
