There is another page on Wikipedia suggesting Collins' tenure lasted no more than a day, but I found another New York Times article that suggests he was the mayor for at least some amount of time in February 1924. Can you advise, Poydoo? Dorama285 (talk) 21:01, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The computer that I'm using is unable to load that link, but I'll look into it once I'm on a better one. Poydoo (talk) 19:02, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The article on his predecessor, John Francis Hylan, says nothing about Collins being mayor in 1924. Poydoo (talk) 19:19, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This is what shows up in the preview of the article. Maybe the view is different for those able to log in. (Article published February 5, 1924.) Acting Mayor William T. Collins yesterday issued this proclamation, calling upon the citizens of New York City to set aside its activities during the funeral of Woodrow Wilson. John Hylan's mayorship was never interrupted, according to all of the sources I can find, but Woodrow Wilson died in 1924, so I don't know who's right. Poydoo (talk) 20:33, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
