Removal of sustainable energy template

[edit]

This is a template that is under development, and in my opinion poorly constructed, and should not be listed as an energy template. As it exists today the only appropriate place for it would be on a user page, and thus it is out of place here. However, it could be converted, to a template that is not an Infobox-style, but instead a Navbox-style, to be used at the bottom of the page. There are concerns about what pages should be included as well, and until these issues are addressed, {{sustainable energy}} should not be listed here, nor used on any article pages. The editor working on it was asked to remove the transportation section, and I can see the importance of including biofuel and electric cars in a "sustainable future", but WP is not a crystal ball, and we should not be defining the future. And flex fuel and hybrids? These have nothing whatsoever to do with sustainable energy as they depend on fossil fuel for their operation, and will be gone from the planet in the very near future. 199.125.109.81 (talk) 19:23, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to call for an RfC. Please do not remove until we have had some discussion. LK (talk) 19:34, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The RfC will take about a week, in the meantime I would suggest removing all uses. 199.125.109.81 (talk) 04:55, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
