Hey thanks. As UF student, I hate to see weird things that reflect badly on schools in the SEC, such as people calling a stadium a city.

Request reason:

My IP (2A02:26F7:F6C1:A010:0:54B:249B:73BF)is blocked and I do not know why. I would like it unblocked to clean up some articles with proper citations. If you can’t unblock me, please cite the instances that precipitated the block Thanks. A.S. Williams (talk) 13:39, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Dude. That IP address is allocated to Apple Private Relay. The instructions in the block notice tell you to turn off Apple Private Relay if you want to edit. Do that, and you'll be able to edit. If you keep Private Relay enabled, you won't be able to edit. It's your choice, I guess. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 14:13, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"Dude" thanks for the technical explanation, but "dude" neither of the following pages say anything about Apple Private Relay. So, "Dude, Bro," could you hook me up with the citation for the APR? Your choice, I guess, but I'd appreciate it, "dawg."

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

FSU Info Box

[edit]

I put up a template and instruction on how to make the box on the discussion page over on FSU. I'm gonna try to make a more generic box for general means but feel free rip it off if you want, I won't hold it against Florida, well maybe just a little. Just joking. Motivation . . .

[edit]

Why don't you just look at my other edits on the article before jumping to conclusions about motivation? Churn and change (talk) 05:52, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't jump to a conclusion about your motivation, I was simply asking you a question about why you are so determined to keep an obviously pejorative sentence in the article. A.S. Williams (talk) 05:54, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I honestly don't believe it is pejorative, and have been trying to convince you of that. Maybe a negative (in the entire context of all his school accomplishments, maybe not even that). I am actually going to be away till August 23, so won't be able to follow up on this till then. But, no, I don't have any specific agenda (if you do look at my edits, you will see what state the Ryan second Budget plan section was in before I edited it--it had just statements opposing the plan). Churn and change (talk) 15:26, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
While you personally may not consider it a pejorative, I have never heard it any other context than as a pejorative and that is why it bothers me. If there was some comment about his high school class voting him most likely to fail then that would be suitable, but calling someone a name doesn't cut it with me. Again, I am not trying to question your motives per se, I am just trying to understand why you want to include it, but you say you honestly don't think it is insulting and therefore wouldn't mind yourself being called a brown noser then I don't see any reason why you shouldn't want to keep it in. Adoption

[edit]

Hi A s williams. I notice you've put a "request for adoption" template on your userpage. Given the number of users starting on the encyclopedia each day and the number who look for adoption, there can often be a backlog when just displaying the request. You are much more likely to find an adopter if you are pro-active about it, perhaps asking an editor or two from the list of adopters if they would consider adopting you? Good luck in finding someone to help out. WormTT(talk) 09:03, 19 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Adoption response

[edit]

Hello A s williams. I am EagerToddler and I noticed you posted a "request for adoption" template on your userpage. Admittedly I've never fully adopted another user before, although I have helped at least one other user with some editing issues on wikipedia. If you need assistance feel free to check with me and I'll be willing to help in whatever way possible. EagerToddler39 (talk) 04:58, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I missed your message as it was added to the top of my user page. I'll be glad to work with you. Do you have any areas of interest. Find an article within your subject area that you think you can contribute to. We'll make a copy in your sandbox and work together from there. Any specific area that you need help on?
