News, news, news!!

Are you ready for #12? And did you see Broadchurch episode 1 is already streaming on the BBC America site? What a weekend coming up! --Drmargi (talk) 01:37, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

Yes I saw the edit earlier today. Exciting stuff. That is noon my time and 11 yours I think. Being a techno-dinosaur I haven't hooked up my computer to my TV and I've avoided streaming on my much smaller computer screen so I haven't snuck a look at B yet. From the ads I've seen it looks like Freema has been replace on L&O UK. I do enjoy watching it but I wish they would be allowed to write their own stories rather than having to follow the plots of the US series. Can't wait for all the goodies coming up. Cheers. MarnetteD | Talk 01:45, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
Gosh I hadn't seen that it is going to be broadcast here at the same time. I checked my Comcast menu and it shows that it will be early in a Matt S marathon. Now that has been on the schedule for over a week so it makes me wonder if they new something earlier and planned the marathon on purpose. MarnetteD | Talk 01:52, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
Oops I messed up when looking at my Comcast menu. The announcement comes during a Top Gear marathon. The Dr Who episodes air Sunday. Comcast hasn't changed their menu yet but that is par for the course as their inaccuracies are numerous. MarnetteD | Talk 19:09, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
Sheesh. I keep screwing this up. The announcement IS Sunday so it does come during the Matt Smith episodes showing. That is an extra 24 hour for my addled brain to totter along. MarnetteD | Talk 19:15, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
Oh, yes! Big piece in the LA Times already, and it's on the BBC America website. As for Broadchurch, I'm toying with fetching AppleTV so I can stream from my iPad, then carrying it around the house, having just bought two new flat screen TVs to replace my dinosaur tube TVs upstairs. I already use my iPad to tune my cable boxes (how silly is that?) so it's a logical next step to stream via AppleTV. It's pretty inexpensive, too. Happily, I'm pretty tech-comfortable, so it shouldn't be difficult. Freema and Harriet Walter both had scheduling conflicts and left LO:UK. I love Patterson Joseph, so he should be great, but not familiar with Georgia Taylor. Any theories about who #12 is? I'd hoped they'd wait until after the 50th Anniversary special, but that didn't work out. BTW, did you get a chance to listen to the new Doctor Who Prom? Madam Vastra and Strax hosted the first half -- fabulous. --Drmargi (talk) 01:57, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
I'm glad you moved to flat screens I think you will like the picture quality and ratio aspect. No real theories - the person has big shoes and bowed legs to fill :-) I have been telling friends it is hard to imagine that it will be somebody too big like Idris Alba. I mean they would have to take a three to four year chunk of their career to focus on all that goes with being the Doctor onscreen and off. Great news about the Prom. They have one with David and one with Matt on past DVD releases so I'll keep my fingers crossed that they do the same with this one. Did you find it online? MarnetteD | Talk 05:53, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
I've had flat screen downstairs (42" plasma) I bought just before Kate and William got married, but I finally got fed up with the antiques upstairs when I got new cable boxes a couple weeks ago (my other boxes were so old the boys at the Time Warner store laughed!) So out they all went, and in with the new. Fabulous! Now to find an e-waste recycling events to get the TVs completely gone!!. The upstairs ones are both LED, one LG and one Panasonic, as is my plasma downstairs (I'm very brand-loyal to Panasonic). I did a TON of reading before I bought the big one to decide what format was best, and plasma won, hands down; but the little ones are wonderful in LED. As for the Doctor, a friend of mine thinks it's someone fairly big if they're making all this fuss, but I think it's more to do with the 50th Anniversary celebration. We shall see. Not a clue who it is, although my idea four choices are Simon Pegg, Eddie Izard, Richard Coyle, or Andy Serkis. Never happen x4. I'm not that lucky. The Prom was streamed online on Radio 3. You can still listen to it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/proms/whats-on/2013/july-13/14610 --Drmargi (talk) 07:34, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the link - much appreciated. Now, per my note below, have any of those four dropped off the grid? Eddie would be a hoot - Pat T's Doctor once dressed as a washerwoman. Now I am just jesting Eddie has turned in some excellent performances. Did you ever see The Cat's Meow where he plays Charlie Chaplin. He looks nothing like him but, as the film progresses, he really captures Chaplin's persona. Andy would lead to the inevitable "My preciousssss ssssonic sssscrewdriver" jokes but he has also given us some memorable characters that weren't motion captured. Did you see his performance in the Touching Evil 2 parter Innocence. He was marvelous playing Vincent van Gogh in Simon Schama's Power of Art. BTW I can't recommend that whole series highly enough it would look great on your plasma. Saturday is also my birthday so I think it is extraordinarily nice of the whole Dr Who team to give me this present. 27 and a half hours to go Woot Woot. MarnetteD | Talk 14:38, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
I'll get this right eventually. The announcement is Sunday so it is a day after gift. That means an extra 24 hours for the production team to keep things under wraps - will they be able to do it. Stay tuned..... MarnetteD | Talk 19:15, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

Eddie's been touring on the continent; I follow him on Twitter. I did see Cat's Meow; it was on an HBO back channel a week or so ago, and I watched a bit again. Not sure about the others. The Hobbit has wrapped, but who knows how that affects Andy Serkis, since he's a body actor in Sfx. Oh, I so remember that Touching Evil he did, along with "The Pale Horse", where he played a Harry Palmer type DS back when he was just coming up. I've got to lay my hands on that art series!! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I won't ask which one.  ;-) --Drmargi (talk) 16:57, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

Time zones, time zones! Bookmakers have the line on about six or eight actors; of course last time, the list was miles from Matt Smith. --Drmargi (talk) 19:54, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

Latest!

Michael, Good morning!
[1] Cheers!  –

Thanks so much. This will be the first time that those of us "across the pond" will find out the name of the actor taking over the role at the same time as everyone over there! I remember how exciting the 20th Anniversary was but social media and the increase in fans worldwide really has this one reaching extraordinary levels. Of course, the fact that the show was off the air at 30 and 40 adds to this. It is also amazing to be chatting with fans that weren't even born when I was scraping together enough money to get a plane ticket to go to Chicago to meet the actors and writers from the original series at the convention they held Nov 26th and 27th 1983. I think we can find out who it is. Just find out which actor has stopped tweeting and is being hidden in a hotel room in central London somewhere :-) Thanks again. MarnetteD | Talk 05:52, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
Oh! I now realise who it was you referred to on my talk as Dr. Margi (talk) when we were chatting about Miranda's mother and calling for the midwife.
Good that the show will be simulcast live on BBC Cymru America.
I like your final sentence ... very apt.  –

The next doctor ...

My money is on this amazing actor  –
 – Gareth Griffith-Jones |The Welsh Buzzard|20:07, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

He would be an excellent choice. From the very first moments of his screen career in Local Hero he has been eminently watchable. Prime Suspect 3, The Crow Road, The Thick of It his roles in Dr Who and Torchwood and I could go on - every single performance has been memorable. If Capaldi is chosen that would be the third Scot as the Doctor (four if Liverpudlian Paul's ancestors were there at some point) so when are we going to get a Welsh actor in the role? :-) Ah well "The suspense is terrible. I hope it will last". Cheers MarnetteD | Talk 22:06, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
Maybe this funny Welshman? Wasn't he great as the slovenly room-mate Spike in Notting Hill and in this excellent film!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MICHAEL  –

Oh, I know. It makes me miss my mother; we had some good adventures that started on BA 282 out of LA. --Drmargi (talk) 22:03, 3 August 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the new link. Unfortuneatly my computer went down after you left it. I am using my neighbors older machine and it won't play the youtube stuff. Don't worry I'll get to see it eventually.
... and I thought you have just had it fixed, haven't you. How awful! Bookmakers stopped taking bets on Peter_Capaldi yesterday afternoon. Do you think they know something that we don't yet? 11 hrs 14 mins to start of prog.  –

How tight do you think the BBC security is?

Witha bit under 20 hours to go I find myself wondering howw far they are going with the secrecy. In the age of twitter there will undoubtedly be fans outside the studio checking out who is going in the building. Will they sneak them in under raincoat. Or maybe they will have several people entering that way to throw us off. Then I had a brainstorm that, if they really wanted to ratchet up the mystery/secrecy/anxiety they could do the reveal To Tell the Truth style. They could have Rhys, Peter, Bill Nighy and two or three others sitting around and then the ost says "Will the next Doctor please stand up" heehee. MarnetteD | Talk 22:25, 3 August 2013 (UTC)

Here is another thought Richard Madden or any of the other actors whose characters were bumper off in season three of Game of Thrones are looking for work :-) so they might be in the running. MarnetteD | Talk 22:38, 3 August 2013 (UTC)
Matt Smith leaked an hour or two in advance, as I recall. There's no perfect way to keep things secure, but Moffat's "please don't tell" strategy has worked twice. Maybe he's counting on #3? (BBC America promo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpc9rNSfyuE&feature=player_embedded) --Drmargi (talk) 07:56, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
Less than 4 hours now. I can't access it at the moment but if it is the same promo they ran during Being Human last night it is well done and just cranks up the anticipation even more. MarnetteD | Talk 14:15, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
More background from the beeb here Cheers!  –

More good stuff. It is a shame that John Nathan-Turner paased away so many years ago. He would have loved all this hype :-) MarnetteD | Talk 14:31, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

Wasn't it great!  –
 – Gareth Griffith-Jones |The Welsh Buzzard|18:36, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

Absolutely and great work on predicting what would happen!! One of my abiding memories from Local Hero is his kissing his way down Marina's (the lovely Jenny Seagove) leg until he sees her webbed toes. There are so many exciting possibilities for what he will bring to the character. It is going to be a agonizing wait until we get to see his choices. Cheers. MarnetteD | Talk 18:43, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
Well, what do you know. The bookies got it right. I'm so pleased they went older this time. Capaldi is 56; I didn't think they'd be brave enough to go that old. I think only 1-3 might have been older. He'll be great, and what a change. I love Moffat. --Drmargi (talk) 19:12, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
You are correct about the age thing. When Gareth mentioned him I was a bit worried that his portrayal of the wonderfully foul mouthed Malcolm on The Thick of It might prevent them from casting him in a show watched by so many youngsters. My excitement in anticipating what he will do in the role will help me get over the pangs of missing Matt. MarnetteD | Talk 19:27, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
I just went and did the math. Hartnell was 55 - that fact floors me cause he seems so much older - Pat was 46 - Jon was 52 - Tom was 40 - Peter was barely 30 - Colin was 41 - Sylvester was 43 - Paul 37 - Chris 41 - David 36 and Matt 26. Now I didn't take the time to do month a day correctly but, still, that means that Peter C and Bill are the two oldest when taking on the role. Amazing. MarnetteD | Talk 19:46, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

Stunner! I knew Hartnell was younger than he appeared, but I didn't realize he was still in his 50s! So tied for oldest. Good on Moffat. I read a few comments on various articles, and they're largely very supportive. He's like Martin Sheen or EJ Olmos is over here: an institution you know will always be phenomenal. --Drmargi (talk) 21:32, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

This exchange may make you smile. Any addition would be welcomed. Cheers!  –

You are welcome. There are some infoboxes that require the brackets to make a pic work and some that don't. Sometimes you just have to fiddle with them until you get it right. You can ask for help at the WikiPrject film when things like this crop up. Cheers MarnetteD | Talk 21:21, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

The anonymous editor you (correctly) reverted used the new Visual Editor so they never would have seen the hidden text cautioning them against making that change. Always assume good faith, even when other people make mistakes. - Dravecky (talk) 22:48, 9 August 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for your note. It was unaware that visual editor has that flaw. I have been happily surprised that the hidden notes work as well as they do on most articles where I have placed them. I feared that, since the IP was from France, that the problem was going to be a language one. Again thanks and I appreciate the time you took to let me know about this. Looking for AFD contributors

Greetings,

I see that you are a very busy editor, but would you consider contributing to the deletion discussion regarding the article on Mokenge P. Malafa? I completely understand if you do not have the time. I am simply attempting to canvas for more involvement based on the rules in WP: Canvasing, and I noticed that you've made edits on some topics related to the subject of this one.

Thank you for considering, 72.184.149.224 (talk) 00:26, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

Nine missing episodes of 1960s Doctor Who have been found

On BBC One's Breakfast this morning.
— | Gareth Griffith-Jones | The Welsh Buzzard |08:35, 11 October 2013 (UTC)

Yes, it started when one of the UK's less-reputable newspapers claimed that over 100 episodes had been found in Ethiopia. As a result, there has been activity a-plenty since Sunday at Doctor Who, Doctor Who missing episodes, List of Doctor Who DVD and Blu-ray releases, The Enemy of the World, The Web of Fear; less so at Doctor Who (season 5), Patrick Troughton, Second Doctor; but possibly also elsewhere. I had to semi-prot some of them until 23:00 UTC because the anons simply did not get the idea of verifiability. See the various talk pages (and User talk:Redrose64#Could you please be more careful?) for complaints. More links: [2] [3] --Redrose64 (talk) 11:41, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the link Gareth. Exciting stuff - especially with the 50th just a few weeks away. I am really looking forward to seeing Pat in his dual role in Enemy of the World. My commiserations went out to you RedRose as I watched all of the craziness going on with the various articles and talk pages. That brings up something else I have been thinking about. I suspect the viewing traffic will be going up on our Dr Who articles as we get closer to 23 Nov. I also suspect that vandalism will increase at the same time. I also know that we don't page protect ahead of time unless the circumstances are extraordinary. I think we should post a notice at the Dr Who wikiproject asking asking members to be aware of the increased likelihood of hits to the numerous articles. Now I suspect that most members will already be thinking about this so I am wondering if there is some other notice board to ask for extra eyes on our articles and maybe for some admins to be ready to protect pages as needed. That way the whole burden wont fall on you RedRose. As ever cheers to you both. MarnetteD | Talk 20:03, 11 October 2013 (UTC)

Sorry!

Hi Marnette! Sorry, I must have hit the wrong button to edit Iqbal Theba after your edit and it registered as a revert/undo of your edit - "Stalwart111 Undid revision 576798084 by MarnetteD" - but you'll see from the edit that all I did was change "her" to "his" (Theba is a man). The rest of your edit was perfectly fine! Sorry about that! Stalwart111 05:13, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for your note User:Stalwart111. My apologies for not being more thorough in reading the article before my edit. I appreciate your taking the time to let me know what was going on. I also appreciate your vigilance in keeping an eye on things. Cheers and enjoy the rest of your weekend. MarnetteD | Talk 16:16, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

The Wrong Mans

Good morning Michael,
I am recommending this new series, The Wrong Mans... it is great fun and I hope Hulu.com is available in your territory.
The fourth episode was shown last night at nine and I am still chuckling to myself. All the best!

It looks wonderful. I will check it our when i get a chance. Thanks for the recommendation. MarnetteD | Talk 16:37, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
It's one of those things where the clues are there to be spotted... but if you blink, you may miss some. BTW I'm one episode behind because I watch the repeat on Sundays, so I've not seen yesterday's (episode 4) yet. --Redrose64 (talk) 22:34, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
I agree, Red rose, I have just watched episode 5 and the programme gets better and better ...
and I do hope you will be able to see it, Michael!

Jackalope

Had a question about the Jackalope page/lure. the sentences "It is said that a jackalope may be caught by putting a flask of whiskey out at night. The jackalope will drink its fill of whiskey and its intoxication will make it easier to hunt" are not cited and have no references. Is there any reason why this can't be taken out due to a lack of evidence? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wilbooks1311 (talkcontribs) 14:10, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

thanks for your question. Articles about mythical creatures have more leeway than most since a chunk of the info about them is anecdotal. Having eaten at the hotel in Douglas, Wyoming many times in my life I know that I saw the info about whiskey on a post card at some point in time. I have never seen eggnog mentioned as a lure. I would suggest that you add a {{cn|date=October 2013}} tag rather than remove the item. But it is up to you. MarnetteD | Talk 16:09, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

Okay sounds good thank you, I appreciate the quick response — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wilbooks1311 (talkcontribs) 17:46, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

Hey!

Moved your submission from the BLP policy talk page to WP:BLPN, which I assume was its intended destination §FreeRangeFrogcroak 21:46, 18 October 2013 (UTC)

@FreeRangeFrog: Thank you very much. As I was typing the post I kept thinking that it was supposed to go somewhere else but as it had been 4 or 5 years since I had made a BLP post I couldn't jog my memory as to the right one. Your fixing my error is much appreciated. Cheers. MarnetteD | Talk 22:52, 18 October 2013 (UTC)

Re: Question

The edits originally added in November 2010 were completely ripped from a website, so I had to restore the most recent copyright-free revision I could find. Unfortunately, in situations like this, that means any good edits made in the meantime get caught in the crossfire, and there's no easy way to separate the two. I try not to do that unless I have to, and the copyright issues were big enough in Night of the Seagulls that I had no choice. Of course, the deleted revisions are not a shot on anyone that made edits there in 2011/12/13. Wizardman 14:22, 19 October 2013 (UTC)

Ymovies

I closed the discussion for Ymovies name, but you may want to make a bot request to do something about all the non-templated uses of the same URL. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 02:55, 20 October 2013 (UTC)

And there is also {{Ymovies person}}, which seems to link to the same pages? Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 02:57, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for your message @Plastikspork:. I have never filed a bot request before. Could you please leave me a link to the proper page. As to {{Ymovies person}} should I file another TFD? If so would it be proper to link to the previous discussion or not? Your help is appreciated. MarnetteD | Talk 04:14, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
You can make a bot request at WP:BOTREQ, it will most likely require a bot operator to file a bot request for approval, which will take some time. There may be some resistance to starting immediately, unless you have broader prior consensus, for example from the external link notice board or something related. However, I would say that the deletion of all Ymovies templates would be a good start in demonstrating consensus, and could be enough since it is just an untemplated version of the template that was deleted. As for Ymovies person, it would be best to initiate a second TfD to avoid any potential backlash to not strictly following procedure. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 04:18, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
Hi again. While you were leaving this message I was taking a look at the Link search and it turns out that most of those are yahoo links inline references for info added rather than being in the EL sections. I have placed the {{dead link}} next to a few of them. That makes me wonder if it is worth doing the bot request but, again I know nothing about them. I'll do the second TFD when I get a chance but it might not be right away as the rest of the weekend is on the busy side. Again your guidance is most helpful. MarnetteD | Talk 04:26, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
Went ahead and filed it tonight. MarnetteD | Talk 05:22, 20 October 2013 (UTC)

Monday's Castle

Aloha! I can't recall whether you watch Castle or not, but Monday's episode features a character who believes he's a time traveler. Castle plays with sci-fi related genres a couple times each season, and this should be fertile ground for a possible Doctor Who references. Might be worth a glance. Aside from that, how be ye? --Drmargi (talk) 05:09, 20 October 2013 (UTC)

Wonderful - thanks for letting me know. I have been following Nathan since he was Captain Tightpants and was real shiny. I have missed a few episodes of Castle over the years but reruns on TNT always give me a chance to catch up. Otherwise things are going well and I am enjoying our fall weather and the new season of POI. Also excitement is growing as I count off the days to the Dr's 50th shindig. Many cheers to you!! MarnetteD | Talk 05:16, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
Oh, speaking of which... did you see the new preview this weekend? T'will take your breath away. --Drmargi (talk) 05:24, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
I haven't seen a new one on BBCA yet but if it is like this one it must be exciting. My DVD copy of The Tenth Planet arrived today so tomorrow will be fun. Just realized something - since Pluto has been downgraded do we have to rename this story The Ninth Planet? MarnetteD | Talk 05:38, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
That's a fun one, but I believe it's a fake. The new one is along those lines: http://www.bbcamerica.com/doctor-who/videos/50th-anniversary-tribute-the-day-of-the-doctor/. Very exciting! --Drmargi (talk) 05:49, 20 October 2013 (UTC)

I think I understood the earlier one was a fan video, but I might be wrong. The new one is fabulous -- could you find #8? Looking forward to a report on the new DVD and found episodes. Enjoy your Sunday. I have to do some grading. --Drmargi (talk) 06:30, 20 October 2013 (UTC)

Which of these links is supposed to be the fake that you wish me to judge? --Redrose64 (talk) 14:44, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
The one Marnette provided. The BBC America one is genuine. --Drmargi (talk) 15:33, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
Well that was fun. Dr Who AND Denver got a mention :-) It even included a brief appearance by Tim Russ who played Tuvok on ST:Voyager. MarnetteD | Talk 04:22, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
My (expletive deleted) DVR didn't fire. I'll have to watch it tomorrow when it's on our On Demand service. --Drmargi (talk) 06:27, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
Well rats. It is always nice to have OnDemand to fall back on. Last spring I had a problem with programs that I had set my DVR to record getting dropped. Turned out the cable box was going bad and I had to replace it. Only drag about that is you lose any programs that you had saved :-( MarnetteD | Talk 17:33, 22 October 2013 (UTC)

Thanks Ponyo. It is nice to know that ones efforts aren't taking place in a vacuum. Your work and guidance are much appreciated as well. MarnetteD | Talk 18:13, 30 October 2013 (UTC)

October 31, 2013

Good morning Michael!
What a great surprise waiting for me. Thank you!
Poor little mouse.
Have a lovely — or shshshould that be — lively, Halloween *knight*!
All the best, Gareth

You are so very welcome. One of the worst things about when I was having computer problems was not being able to play the ecards from Jacquies website. Cheers. MarnetteD | Talk 18:44, 31 October 2013 (UTC)
Your unavoidable absence was all too evident. So glad all is well. — | Gareth Griffith-Jones |The WelshBuzzard| — 18:52, 31 October 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for your kind words. As it is early evening your time I am wondering if you get trick or treaters. I'll get a couple dozen between 5 and 7pm and they give me an excuse to buy some of my favorite "sweet tooth" treats. MarnetteD | Talk 19:18, 31 October 2013 (UTC)
Yes, I have.
It is an American celebration that has been adopted in the UK with enormous enthusiasm. My next-door neighbour has seven candle-lit pumpkins outside. The big supermarket chains have cashed in with relish. Waitrose have special plastic carrier bags for the pumpkins. — | Gareth Griffith-Jones |The WelshBuzzard| — 19:28, 31 October 2013 (UTC)
Good to hear - it can be such fun and the clever things they can do with pumpkin carvings are amazing. I saw one several years ago where the pumpkin was carved to look like jail cell and there was a second smaller pumpkin inside carved to be the ghoulish prisoner. I plan on watching my DVD of Louis Jourdan's Count Dracula (1977 film). It is still my favorite. I think it stays closer to the book and Jack Shepherd's performance as Renfield is excellent. OOoooOOooooo. MarnetteD | Talk 19:52, 31 October 2013 (UTC)
Of course famous too for Gigi — he is 92! — | Gareth Griffith-Jones |The WelshBuzzard| — 20:02, 31 October 2013 (UTC)
Absolutely. He toured in a revival of that musical in the 1980s and I was fortunate to be in the audience one evening. Then the following Sunday I was walking into a movie theater, that was close to where I lived, to see Carmen (1984 film) and almost bumped into him as he was leaving the theater. I enjoyed the fact that he wanted to see this film rather than just hang around his hotel room on his day off. MarnetteD | Talk 20:17, 31 October 2013 (UTC)
That is a great story! — | Gareth Griffith-Jones |The WelshBuzzard| — 20:19, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

David Bradley

Hi, remember this? Guess who? --Redrose64 (talk) 19:47, 1 November 2013 (UTC)

Now that is a fun coincidence. I was watching the Lis Sladen interviews on the Terror of the Zygons DVD two nights ago and I was thinking about that very discussion that you linked to. The Bradley as Hartnell pic is great. As we get closer to the 23rd I am getting every bit as excited for An Adventure in Space and Time as I am for Day of the Doctor. Three weeks and one day to go! MarnetteD | Talk 20:37, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
One other thing for you and all my talk page watchers. The "Dr Who Stories" extras on the DVDs are using Wayang kulit inspired shadow puppets that I think are a wonderful addition to the interviews. MarnetteD | Talk 20:37, 1 November 2013 (UTC)

Re: Donlammers

Thank you MarnetteD! That was very kind of you. Wow…I hope everything is okay with Don. Okay…I will try to get with another editor. Thanks again! Kevin1086 (talk) 14:26, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

A Newcastle for you!

Thanks! And I'll check out the doc now! DonQuixote (talk) 19:17, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

Your spoiler complainer

Not as ridiculous as the (ahem) who wanted "spoilers" excised from episode descriptions of, get this, I Love Lucy, but getting close. How old is PS now? Oye! --Drmargi (talk) 18:32, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

Maybe they wanted to be surprised when Little Ricky was born :-) Whoosh time goes by too fast - seven years since the last PS seems amazing but 21+ years since the first story. Oye indeed. MarnetteD | Talk 19:20, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
