Richard Bruce Parkinson (natus anno 1963) est Aegyptologus Britannicus. Est alumnus Collegii Reginalis apud Oxonienses ubi ob commentarium in Fabulam agricolae eloquentis Aegyptiam gradum doctoratus meruit. Ab anno 1991] inter curatores Musei Britannici de Aegypto pharaonico operam dat, de papyris hieroglyphicis necnon hieraticis, etiam de inscriptionibus (inter quibus tabula Rosettana et picturis muralibus Aegyptiis (inter quibus Picturae Nebamun). Multa e lingua Aegyptia Anglice interpretavit: liber cuius titulus est The Tale of Sinuhe and other ancient Egyptian poems, commentariis munitus, latius divulgatus est. Sed et directione inversa laborat: anno enim 2006 versionem The Tale of Peter Rabbit, fabulae puerilis Anglicae a Beatrice Potter compositam, cum Ioanne Nunn in linguam Aegyptiam et in scripturam hieroglyphicam convertit.[1]
