Heads up 2

edit

Some of these new revdeletion requests are very tricky. Ruigeroeland plagiarized much of his content from a copyrighted source that is behind a paywall. I was able to access it in a clever way. However, the edit summaries will most likely violate WP:LINKVIO. When you see my RD1 requests, you may also have to revdelete the requests. I am pinging Wizardman, {{[u|Premeditated Chaos}}, Whpq, DanCherek, CambridgeBayWeather, so that someone can scrub the revisions in a timely fashion Scorpions1325 (talk) 20:27, 12 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

I have done all I can for now. I will not remove any more until someone deletes them. I will email you the link. Scorpions1325 (talk) 22:14, 12 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Got it, thanks Nthep (talk) 06:23, 13 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Nthep for your revedits to this page, which are much appreciated. We are conducting editing workshops in Bhutan with nuns and monks to explain the logic and rules of English Wikipedia, so that they can help develop their Dzongkha Wikipedia. It is extremely helpful to have demonstrated to them how the WP community collaborates to ensure the quality and rigour of the content. (Notions of plagiarism can be difficult to grasp because in the monastic setting they are required to copy texts exactly. Thats how the texts retain their integrity over centuries. Western notions of copyright are poorly understood.) Its also helpful for them to understand the oversight provided by admins, as their community will need people to take such roles. So, many thanks! @Doctor 17 thanks. It's good to see a positive come out of these rather than the negatives it normally ends in. That's a hell of a culture shift for them to deal with, going from exact duplication to summarising - I wish them (and you) good luck for the future. Nthep (talk) 12:40, 18 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Take a look at these

@M Waleed: all four of these are on Commons with {{cc-by-sa-3.0}} releases. I've therefore deleted the local copies. Nthep (talk) 12:44, 23 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
